Galapagos - Scott Pommier

Details. Those little fragments that few eyes are capable of noticing—but that can change everything—are the protagonists of some of Scott Pommier’s works. An iguana’s claws. A sea lion’s moustache. A bird’s beak. The wing-beat of a blue-footed bobby rising in flight… These scenes went through this North American artist’s lens in his visit to the Galapagos Islands. “The Galapagos Islands are a special place in the history of the world," says Pommier. And that singularity is reflected in his art, filled with warm tones that give the scenes a touch of energy and mystery: what impresses from the islands.
