It’s a potage eaten during easter week. There are a lot of theories about its origins and meanings, but the most accepted is that the twelve grains represent the apostles, including Judas, who is compared with chocho, because of his sour taste, as Judas betrayal to Jesus. While the boiled egg, breadeds and ripe bananas simbolize to the non-believers, which are not included in the preparation, but are welcome in the tradition.
